Small-batch roasting used to force a compromise. You could buy a cheap machine that scorched beans and filled the kitchen with smoke, or spend several thousand dollars on commercial equipment you did not need. The Skywalker Coffee Roaster, designed and manufactured by Foshan Akimita Shunde 1st Branch, was created to remove that compromise.

The Skywalker series takes its visual cue from Darth Vader — bold, dark, unmistakable — but the engineering underneath is entirely practical. The machine uses a patented imitating direct-fire roast system: heat is delivered by convection and radiant elements in a way that mimics the thermal behaviour of a classic direct-fire drum roaster, while remaining fully electric and clean to operate. The result is even bean development, proper flavour layering, and none of the scorching that plagues cheap hot-air roasters.

A smokeless process handles the exhaust, so during a roast you smell coffee rather than fight smoke — a feature that turns roasting from an outdoor chore into an everyday kitchen or café-counter activity. Fast preheating gets you into the first batch quickly, and a dedicated cooling cycle of about 3–5 minutes locks in the profile and stops carryover cooking.

What makes the Skywalker coffee roaster genuinely versatile is its three operating modes:

Add adjustable drum speed, dual bean and air temperature sensing, and Rate of Rise (ROR) monitoring, and the machine gives you the same feedback loop professionals rely on.

The Skywalker's dual-system models integrate Akimita's own control system with Artisan, the open-source roasting software used by roasters worldwide. Connect via USB or Bluetooth, log every roast, overlay curves, compare batches, and build a library of profiles you can repeat months later. For anyone serious about consistency — or about selling roasted coffee — this feature alone justifies the machine.

Voltage options cover AC 220 V 50/60 Hz and 110 V configurations for different markets, and the machines carry CE, CB, LFGB, FDA and ROHS certification.

The Skywalker is built by Foshan Akimita Shunde 1st Branch, part of Richy (Foshan) Industries and Investments Co., Ltd (est. 2007), with 19 years in coffee and water products and over 20 patents on original design. Every unit passes a 24-hour burn-in test before it ships. Spare parts and consumables — lamps, bearings, fans, drum motors — are available directly from the factory, which is why the Skywalker has developed such a loyal following in home-roasting communities worldwide.

Fresh coffee is not a luxury. With the right coffee roaster, it is simply Tuesday morning.
